Our Family
In 2016, our family made the move to our current home here at Trilby Lane Farm.
We had no farming experience. Just a dream.
And it has turned in to something much bigger and better than we ever hoped it to be!
A little bit about us: My husband, Steffan, is a Red Seal Electrical foreman at R. Cudmore Electric. Our three children are Briley, Brynn and Kayse. When our kids are not busy with sports, they love being outside, no matter the weather. We spend as much time as possible outside around our property, exploring along the stream, looking for treasures in the woods, making mud pies, and spending time caring for our animals.
About Megan
Owner/Operator of Trilby Lane Farm
I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2015 with a Masters of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology. After graduating I worked part time for psychologists in private practices administering psycho-educational assessments. Along the way we had 3 children, moved to a farm with a house built in the late 1800s, learned new skills and took on many renovation projects, and added many new furry friends into our hobby farm over the years.
After maternity leave with our youngest, we realized the difficulties in accessing and affording childcare and returning to work with three young children 4 and under. Since December of 2018, I have been running a home daycare on our hobby farm and creating a place where not only my children can learn and grow, but also the many children I have cared for over the years.
As the years went on, my children grew, and so did my core daycare families and their kids. With this growth I slowly start to create a summer program to accommodate the growth and changes among the families that I had come to know over the years.
In 2024. I created Trilby Lane Farm and Day Camps, a summer day camp program for school aged children. Branching out into the public world felt like a huge leap. And I am so grateful and humbled by all of the support and encouragement we have had along the way.
I look forward to the opportunities for learning, growth and changes in this new business adventure. I truly believe that this is where I was meant to end up, and look forward to putting my background and experience over the years into a program that promotes and supports mental health, resiliency, and self esteem among our youth.
I look forward to sharing our home and farm with you.
